Forecast for Mammoth & the Owens Valley

Forecast Specialist for the Sierra Wave 92.5 / 96.5 FM

An upper low continues to spin it wheels off the Southern California coast and we can expect a slight chance of snow showers and light rain in mammoth and the Owens Valley through tonight into early Wednesday morning.

Today for Mammoth: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of isolated snow showers by mid day. Daytime temps in the low 40s and nighttime temps around 16. Wind will be light.

Today for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Partly cloudy with a chance of rain showers during the day and snow showers tonight. Highs will be in the lower 50s and lows in the upper 20s. Southeast wind 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow for Mammoth: Sunny. Highs will be in the low 40s and lows in the upper teens. North wind 10 - 15 mph.

Tomorrow for Bishop & the Owens Valley: Mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain and snow showers early. Highs will be in the lower 50s and lows in the mid 20s. Southeast wind 10 mph.

An upper ridge builds in on Thursday and we can expect generally clear skies with some fair weather cirrus over the Crest and a warming trend through Sunday.
