Black Mtn #6 (aka El Paso Mtn), highest point in the El Paso Mountains

Trailtrekker has been talking about these two peaks for awhile so we finally did it. We checked out Burro Schmidt's Tunnel and camp after. I went back to the road to wait for NormaR to arrive, then later celebrated Mtflyer's birthday after dinner.

Red Mountain (5,261') in the Lava Mountains

PHOTOS: http://snownymph.smugmug.com/gallery/2330928

Five of us and the Screaming Monkey dayclimbed Red Mountain. The summit had inscriptions from geologists almost 100 years old. My Screaming Monkey was so popular we all drove 25 miles to Kramer Junction after the hike so everyone could have their own. Some of us will never grow up!

LOL! I thought I fixed it after I typed Nympy! I'll fix it. And Tom, I'll check out your photos. Really tired tonight! Trip was more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Haahaaaaaaaaaa!
