Looking for some trip planning advice.
Level 4
class 2
lakes, forests ,views, mountain scenery, fishing -but not a must,
4-5 nights
7-8 miles a day
I've done a lot of hiking in the Emigrant wilderness, and (thanks to Balzacom) did the backpack trip to Ottoway lake a few weeks ago. Wow !! Trails without horse ****! It was nice and peaceful ! Looking to do another one in Yosemite in mid to late September.
Thanks for your advice.

Re: Yosemite trip advice
Northern Yosemite Loop at around 50 miles. Plenty of info available here on HST
and other sites. Some of the highlights include the Sawtooth Ridge, Matterhorn
Peak, view from Burro Pass down Matterhorn Canyon, Benson Pass views, Smedberg
& Benson Lakes, Seavey Pass area lakes, and Peeler Lake.
Keep an eye on the weather reports, especially near the end of September.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
