Having just driven over Tioga this afternoon the pic seems like it might be of the tarn near the entrance station looking toward Kuna Crest and Mammoth Peak.

From my most recent 10 day trek through Sequoia and Kings Canyon....

The majesty of Cliff Creek going up Black Rock Pass is just unparalleled.

I personally liked the one in color, WD. B&W looked menacing. The color shot looks inviting. but that's just me.
