Lost Wedding Ring -- FOUND

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Hey - I know Jim, the backcountry ranger stationed at Charlotte Lake this summer, and will be visiting him sometime in the next few weekends. I've sent him your note, and can add a picture for you if you'd like to email or post one here. If he finds it, I'm happy to mail it back to you. Bonne chance-

Hi SummitAntics,

Welcome to HST! Thank you for offering your help to a fellow member.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

Wow, that would be great if you could talk to him and he could look for it. Of course I understand that it's a bit of a "needle in a haystack", but if he has time to look a bit just east of those big tool chests in the flat area, that would be great. Other than wedding photos, I don't think I have any photos of the ring itself, but I'll see what I can dig up. It's just a plain man's titanium wedding ring. I'm on vacation right now with my wife and daughter (visiting mom), but should be home tomorrow night, so maybe I can post something on Sunday.

WOW! I've been following this post and I thought the chances of finding the ring would be slim to none. I'm shocked and really happy for you. Cheers to Tim! Right on! :D

WOW! I'm another who's been following this who thought the odds were slim to zero. One of those outcomes that keep us hopeful and optimistic.
