east side Lone Pine conditions

Post by overheadx2 »

I'm getting a little tired of the usual So Cal day hikes, so I thought I'd try and head up to the east side with the dog and wife for some day hikes. Thinking of camping at Grays meadow area and day hiking from there. Any info on roads open, trails and snow conditions in the area? Any recommendations?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

overheadx2,
I'll be heading up to Kearsarge Pass on Saturday with a small group. Our destination is Mt. Gould, but if you would like to join us to the pass, you are welcome to. Let me know.

If it's not to much, I'd love to know conditions at the east side lakes like heart like iced over completely, amount of snow down by he lake. A general guesstimate would be helpful. I'm headed up next weekend.

Bob Rockwell posted photos from a Kearsarge Pass Trail hike on 4/26, so they're a couple of weeks old.
