Owens Valley Zoning Changes

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Much to our surprise, the plans and acreage have been scaled back quite a bit and wind turbines (often fatal to bats and birds, especially soaring raptors) have been taken off any plans in the county, at least for now. No final decision was made, we will be attending next Tuesday's meeting. The Planning Board and Supervisors actually listened to our comments, suggestions and outrages. The http://www.deepestvalley.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; should be updated with details shortly.
