FORECAST 11.20.06

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Post by dmatt »

Forecast: Owens Valley & Adjacent High Country
Fort Independence EPA Met Station
EPA Site No: 06-027-1028
0730 PST 20 Nov 2006

All:

Discussion: Upper ridge is progged to weaken and move east through Wednesday as a trough from the Gulf of Alaska nears the Pacific Northwest. Possible chance of light precipt in the northern portion of CA on Wednesday, otherwise dry conditions will prevail.

Today: Some high clouds otherwise clear. Temps upper 60s/ low 30s.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny. Temps mid 60s / low 30s.

Outlook: Main trough energy moves through Pacific Northwest Wednesday into early Thursday. A few weak impulses moving through the trough will keep moisture confined to our north. Dry weather will be the order of the day through at least Thanksgiving. There will be a cooling trend through Friday.
