Bonanza-Willow

Post by Sierragator »

Bagged these two today out of Cold Creek area. Fresh dusting of new snow above 8k feet. Saw some wild horses on the way up. Memo to self: replace digital camera.

The traverse along the ridge from Bonanza over to Willow made for some interesting route finding. The third class sections along the way were made a bit more challenging by the stiff winds today. Nice views of Charleston Peak, Telescope, and the distant sierra crest (could make out Langley and the Whitney group by their profiles).

Climbed Griffith again on Friday afternoon. Ran into a marine who grew up in the same part of fla that I'm from...small world.

Good times on the mountain.
