Just Back From Yosemite

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Just Back From Yosemite

Post by kd6swa »

Friday the 7th of March my wife and I made a day trip to Yosemite. It is still winter there as the trees and grasses are not green. There were many deer in the valley and the water falls are flowing at a decent rate. This time of year along with it being a Friday was nice - no crowds anywhere and plenty of parking anywhere you went.

When yosemite is empty it is a much more magical experience. Especially in the backcountry when yours is the only car @the the trailhead!!

Love the pictures, thanks for posting. We taken advantage of great Curry Village discounts the last two winters and had great experiences both times.
