Any hints where? I got to go to this lake one day. Just jaw dropping! I am guessing somewhere near Ionian Basin or Mt. Shakepeare. Just a shot in the dark though!

That is the lake that is out to the West of Lake 10,565 that is West of Observation Peak. Some bush whacking is needed but with a proper route description I can give you will make it fairly easy.

Looks like on the topo that the easiest way is from the Dumbell Lakes to Lake 10,565? Looks like only class 2 on the topo? I have to hit every nook and cranny in that basin. Between Amphitheater Lake, Marion Lake, Dumbell Lakes, Windy Point and Lake, etc., it all looks gorgeous! To think I walked right by all of this on the JMT...what a bummer! Should have stopped to smell the roses (maybe phlox or polomoniums). :wink:
