Lol I might have been stumped if I had not climbed it from along this ridge this summer.

Saw that view in September 30, 1979 after climbing over ridge from Amphitheatre Lake. There is a tiny pond just below where you took the shot with a sizeable white marble boulder.

Can you name two peaks in this above group pic on a 10-day trip I led 8 years ago? Ought to be moderately easy. The small skinny guy second from left is me with the huge blue pack piggybacking an orange photo daypack.

Roguephotonic, you get around. Yes, it's Florence Peak from Peak 12,146. Considering how few people set foot on 12,146, I thought it might take a little time for it to be identified. Most are used to the much different appearance from Franklin Lake or Franklin Pass.

In the left background you can see the southern part of the Whitney ridgeline with Muir Peak.

I have never been on Florence but I could tell to the left that the far peak line was the Whitney area. Then the smooth sand with funky rocks closer told me Franklin Pass and then narrow it down.

As for Sparky's pic Goodale Mountain :p
