What is on your wall?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

OK, rlown, ya got me with this one. Love the range of responses posted so far! :D Here's mine. . .
Having just set up my office/den in our new Oregon home, the "hallowed" corner of the room includes, left to right, a Raven Images map of Oregon (but that's another story), four photos I selected to print from my 8-day solo in Ansel Adams Wilderness in 1988, and the Raven map of Yosemite & the Central Sierra. But tacked to the wall out in the garage (they need bigger space) are my maps of summer field work done back in '64 on the Sierra NF and '65 on the Sequoia/Inyo. Those two contain a lot more memories! Oh, and I should mention the framed, commemorative poster of the 2nd annual Snake Rodeo in 1967 from Limon, Costa Rica, that adorns the shop/studio wall; that was the year I trekked across the Central American Isthmus (shameless self-promotion!) :rolleyes: Honest!

Since my fishing (etc.) website is still down, you can be distracted by geology stuff at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/csm/ees/facu ... ayshi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My other little shrine. Same room. A very thoughtful christmas card, A ducks unlimited calendar, and my Girl Samantha's collar hanging on the nail. I'm gonna miss her huge this duck season.

Note to Eric: This isn't an attempt to market my house through HST. Nevertheless, I spent the last three decades trying to bring the Sierra to myself. My log home is furnished with a lot of mountain artistry and I tried to create my own Sierra lake and forest in the back yard. We had some professional video and photography of the house done as we plan to sell it and retire soon. I hope the mods will allow members to share a bit of what we have been privileged to enjoy. I will post more close up detail of What's on my Wall in coming days.
