Amazing light show on the Eastside last night

Post by John Dittli »

We've been getting a lot of thunderstorm activity here this summer. Last night was quite the show. This is a three image pano.

Crap! We left too early. I was over there with my son for a week but had to come home on Friday. Thursday we were up in the Bristlecones and some awesome clouds were forming then but too late in the day for anything electrical. I always seem to just miss the weather.

Awesome photo!

Very nice JD!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

John: yours is better! This one was taken near Manzanar last night -- smoke from the Windy Fire. Folks in Kearsarge Pass area must have gotten a real snootful of smoke yesterday and today.

LOL Mike. This I thought worthy of not shooting through the window, so I stepped out on the deck...
