Thanks Bluewater for all the additional beautiful photo's, well worth the short wait.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Simply magical, a trip I've ALWAYS wanted and will do. What a great year to do it too with a less than stellar snow year. Great photos. Man...I hate my cubicle right now.

Thanks for your comments everyone! I'm stuck at work for one more day before I can take off again. I will try to post a short video before leaving to give a better idea of the conditions.

Great trip report! Granite Park is a neat place, and that small lake below it in your picture labeled "Classic Sierra scenery" is a lake I've wanted to camp at after having to breeze by it a few years back.

Great trip report and photos. I still can't get over the lack of snow. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

We're heading in from either Pauite or Pine around 7/19. Any new reports on mosquitoes for that area? If the bugs are really bad we'd rather go somewhere else where we can enjoy a more relaxing trip.
Anyone been up there this week?
Thanks!
