Brewer et al. have arrived in Yosemite Valley. Finally, this is the beginning of their first foray into the true High Sierra.

After spending the winter and most of the spring in San Francisco (labeling specimens, writing reports...that sort of thing), Brewer & the gang are on the move again--this time, on their way to explore the Kings River Sierra.

Glad you're back on the traiI. I had previously read about the amazing adventures of Clarence King but with this you've inspired me to obtain a copy of Brewer's fantastic book. So thanks very much for the fabulous work you've done on this journey -- it has been super entertaining!
