Split Mountain via West Face

Post by maverick »

Has anyone done this route. Have read the very little there is in the books, and
there are no accounts on-line. Would like to ask some questions about this
route for recon purposes. Pictures would be great, even from a little distance.
The lower access of this area is of interest to. Thanks for any info, PM me please.

Cheers,

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

This is about all I have of the West face:

They are high resolution though.

And this one is looking down on the terrain below the West face:

This is about where you would access it:

Hi Rogue,

First of all thanks for the quick post. The photo of Lake 11975 is quite useful.
Would you have by any chance have a shot pointed a little more south that
includes more of the west ridge between 11957 and Cardinal Lake? Thanks Mav

Bad photos, but may help. You need to check these with a topo map. I am not sure exactly what are in the photos.
