Well, Thursday/Friday I did an overnighter in Mokelumne Wilderness (Raymond Lake area), and while it was cold and wet, the roads were open and there was no snow.
Next day, Ebbetts Pass is closed! And to top it off, the road out to Blue Lakes has 1-2 inches of snow on it already!
So I drove up to Monitor Pass today, and it's still open for the time being. Weather was nice, nobody around and my hike around Heenan Lake was great!
So, what roads & passes are closed in your area?
Ebbetts Pass (Hwy 4 out of Markleeville): Closed!
Monitor Pass (Hwy 88 btw 395 and Carson Pass): Open! (but snow coming tomorrow!)
Carson Pass (Hwy 88): Open!
Winter Pass closures: how about your area??

This weekend the signs were flashing CLOSED for Tioga and Sonora Passes.
It rained most of the day Friday in Mammoth, and froze at night. Our driveway/parking area was icy. I went to Gomez' for dinner and almost fell because the steps were icy! Heard the slopes were solid boilerplate from the rain. I'll wait for decent snow. Mammoth report claims 2" from that storm.
