I too finished my JMT hike...

Post by ndwoods »

What a nice hike! For the last 30 years my honey and I have done on and off trail trips over and around the JMT. It was really fun to "connect the dots" and do the whole JMT. All along the way we were pointing out places we have been.
The hike took us 19 days (we had allowed ourselves 24 days). The weather was absolutely perfect the entire trip. The only 3 cloudy days were on days we had big passes to climb.:) The late snows this year made sure we didn't miss the wildflowers. We saw or heard lots of wildlife. My honey and I really had a great time. Later this month is our 31st anniversary so it was quite a nice anniversary trip for us!:)
Been thinking next year of the Tahoe to Yosemite trail....

Congratulations on you two doing the Sierra's grand route. Yes wildflowers this summer in the highest areas peaked about as late as any year I've seen in the past except 1995. Will be looking forward to reading about the details. ...David
