Going back to Avalanche!

Post by ndwoods »

We haven't been able to backpack in a couple seasons due to family obligations. (I wasn't going to leave when daughter was due to have baby....had one in Aug and the other in Sept last couple years). This year we are free to go again!
So I told my hubbie we could go back to a fav spot, or I could cook up another never been there spot.
He immediately said he wanted to go back and redo our Avalanche, Colby Pass trip. That was easy planning!:)
I was sick that trip so it didn't seem as spectacular to me, but I do remember liking it....I should really enjoy it much more this time!:)

Great to read that you and your husband will be able to get out this year!
Looking forward to reading your TR.
Congratulations to your daughter, and to you grandma Dee. :D

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Very cool. I'm finally putting together my trip report from my trip there last year. I hope it is useful for you, or at least provides a nice teaser :)
