Wallace Lake, 2003, the last year our troop used flys instead of tents.

We saw the storm coming and built this from our flys, but wound up getting pretty wet anyhow.

'suppose my avatar belongs here, too - Graveyard Meadow area near VVR, July 1989, heating some coffee water on the Bleuet stove in back while keeping the bears at bay that woke me up at 4am that day (we also had an earthquake that same night). Ultralight camping 1989 style

Ah, those were the days, huh, John? Snow camping with tube tents. You may be surprised to find that we are not the only folks who ever ventured out to Mt. Linn in the snow - check this out:
