What is on your 2012 Christmas wish list?

Post by rlown »

Tis the season to dream and hint. I actually don't really need anything except new boot shoelaces, and maybe some new lexan cups, and some new reels, and maybe a rod and ... :)

What's on your wish list to Santa that you'd like to find under your tree?

Black Diamond ZPoles UltraDistance to replace my beat up Wal-Mart poles that have missing tips. A comfy, light, small, warm sleeping pad to replace my new but really, really heavy and really, really large Nemo Astro pad. A pair of Dirty Girl gaiters because the name is great.

A Satellite Emergency Locator Device. Santa doesn't need one--he's got that Norad tracking thing--but I do. :)

Don't need things. Wish is for good health for all and another great year in the backcountry for me.

Maybe some autographed Bear Gryllis wag-bags for my hiking buddy, Mike.

A 15-20 degree down bag. My first bag purchase was a 35 degree synthetic bag. I didn't do my homework, and it isn't cutting it.. .. Even with a liner, and z-lite, and layers. ;-) I think I can drop a couple of pounds by not carrying the liner too!
And also, a signaling mirror.

0F to +10F down bag at about 3lbs, but only if Santa finds an awesome deal. Won't need it before late March when I may come out west for some ski touring with my son, who actually asked Santa for a Voile splitboard DIY kit to convert one of his snowboards so he can join me in the backcountry.

Soon we'll be doing this with his old board:

https://vimeo.com/54550509" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

by the way - how are you supposed to use the "Vimeo" tag in the editor? doesn't do anything with either URL or iFrame code.
