Topo map postings?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

FeetFirst -- boy, I really need a life. I keep fiddling and posting an endless stream here. I noticed your campsite icon has only the one URL link. I pasted the same photo link into the Related Link box. It still comes up with the red x, but when you click on the link, it goes to the photo. When I tested the google link and Flickr on my test map in Explorer online, I got the red x -- linked -- with Google but the photo popup with Flickr. Also, both show with just arcgisonline maps. Weird. I'll figure it out eventually... . But at least the X is linked to the photo, though with google doesn't show up in the popup (though, as mentioned, Flickr does. Interesting to test with other photo sites...).

Okay, it appears that ArcGIS Explorer Online does not support encrypted links (https://) for photos, which is what Google gives you for a direct link. So, I just removed the "s" from the https, and it works! Here's the image link that now works in the pop-ups: http://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-b58ww ... G_7361.JPG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks again for all your help!
I'm still rather convinced that you can achieve more than you've ever dreamed of if you just lower your standards.
