My abbreviated summer: Wonoga, Trail, Tom, Basin, and Baldwi

Post by calipidder »

I intended on a lovely trip into Miter Basin to get a bunch of peaks but a stress fracture in July quickly put a stop to those plans. It turns out the week I would have been there was that awful week of storms in August so I probably would have struck out on most climbs anyways. Here's what I DID manage to squeeze in to my summer as my foot healed. A couple of trip reports and links to lots o' pics:

Vagabond and Hunchback (and a no-summit of Cloudripper due to the crazy winds - pre injury):

Great pictures, you can sure see a lot of country from up there.
"On this proud and beautiful mountain we have lived hours of fraternal, warm and exalting nobility. Here for a few days we have ceased to be slaves and have really been men. It is hard to return to servitude."
