Hi, All,
We recently returned from a three-week trip on the "Walker's Haute Route" in the Swiss Alps, from Chamonix (France) to Zermatt. I'll get off my butt and put up a trip report and some pictures when I can find the time, but I thought I'd at least mention it (partly to reassure my friends on this board that I'm still alive and say briefly that it was (a.) awesome, (b.) utterly unlike any mountain trip I've done before, and (c.) expensive, even making all the arrangements ourselves.
Later!

Re: Swiss Alps
Great ! Looking forward to the trip report, especially how the Alps might be different from the Sierra.
