Here's another similar looking lake on Picket Creek near Junction Meadow on the Upper Kern. What's cool is that it looks like we're looking at the outlet but no. It's well to the right of the pic, very close to the inlet.

SIERRA INSPIRATION PHOTOTHON!

First time poster here so I hope this goes right using tapatalk on my iPhone.

Here is a photo from July 2011 taken at Downey Lake in Tahoe National Forest. The evidence of the late heavy winter can bee seen.

Enjoy!

Hi Ucdengboss,

Welcome to HST! Thank you for contributing your pretty photo.
Professional Sierra Landscape Photographer

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org
