Please Post Your Trip Reports

Post by maverick »

Fellow HST Members,

This is mainly addressing those members who have requested information about
certain routes/places in the past and have not yet posted a TR.
Would like to remind these members that not only are you helping current
members in planning their trips, but are also helping future members by giving
them important information on specific areas in the Sierra which in turn will
enable them to make better informed decisions when planning there own mountain
getaways.
Even if you have a TR that is several years or decades old, please feel free to post
it, it's all good info!
To those members who have contributed in the past, thank you so very much =D>
and please continue doing so, it is one of the things that makes HST such a special
place!

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

My wife is on a plane today headed for the Sierras. She's following in the boot prints of a number of others from the Pacific Northwest (nwhikers.net) that have visited so already this year. We are quite thankful for the in the info and advice given out on this forum and we would be glad to return the favour if ever you are headed this way . Our trip reports can be found here: :

Here is her humourous trip report from 2010 when she did Big Pine Lakes and 1000 Island Lake
