I saw a 5n with 18-55mm sell for $530 on ebay a few days ago, and I'm sure there are more. I am looking for just a body to use my Nikon lenses on it, and that is much harder to find.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I'm not a pro by any means but I love my canon t2i crop frame. Its smaller n lighter than most dslr which is nice for hiking n I like that my 100-400mm lens is equivalent to 160-650mm on a full frame which is awesome for wildlife. Most pros will agree it is far more about spending the xtra money on quality lenses than an expensive camera. For landscapes I use the canon10-22mm efs,its very sharp! You will also need to spend some cash on on a quality tripod, an absolute must.
