Bubbs Creek, Lone Pine Creek Bridges?

Post by cgundersen »

Has anyone gotten close enough to the Lone Pine Creek bridge on the High Sierra Trail or the bridge over Bubbs Creek on the Avalanche Pass trail to know whether they survived the winter?

I haven't myself but there is no reason to assume they have not survived. It would take a major event to take out either and because of their locations they would be put at the top of the list for trail crews.

Rogue,
Thanks; I've learned that the road to Cedar Grove is just about to open (or did very recently), so it should only be a matter of time till we hear more about trails in that area. Like you, I don't expect anything outlandish, but if that bridge is out, there are few easy alternatives!
