Interesting concept, and only 6 ounces too.

Might even consider getting one except -
I don't stink...ever, :^o
Someone else would have to carry it,
and right now I do the same washing thing using my Bearikade.

I just use a gallon zip lock bag, but this looks like it might work better. The shape of the bag might help it double as a comfortable inflatable pillow, which would help justify the 6 oz weight. . . just sayin'.

Not that I ever bothered but I thought that was what bear cans were for?

hmm. where is all your food when you're using your bear can for a washing machine?

I just put my clothes in the lake or stream. no soap. Good enough while out.

And, Markskor has never really been downwind of himself. :puke:

Presumably your food is right beside you and your bear canister while you're scrubbing, so there shouldn't be any issue. But I follow Russ's approach. I hate soap-flavored food.

I've always used a garbage bag (which multi-tasks as waterproof covers for cloths and such) or my bear canister. I've tried to let the water sit in the sun for a few hours hoping the black color of the canister would help it warm up for bathing...no such luck. Never had a problem with bears eyeing my food while outside the canister during bathing, but I am cautious and do keep a watchful eye nonetheless.

I just use my old, trusty and crusty yellow collapsible bucket. Washes dishes, clothes and heat some water and add for a warm sponge bath.

:D reduced my weight significantly over the last 3 years. It's the goodies that get in the way of a constant 52lb starting pack weight.
