That Tioga webcam doesn't look like it's live; any idea how often they update it? I just checked it (9:48 PM eastern), and it looked like mid-afternoon -- I assume it'd be nearly dark by 6:48 PM Pacific, wouldn't it?

According to signs along Hwy 395 this weekend, Tioga Pass is closed for the season (Sonora Pass too)

So, are you going to tell us about Mammoth opening day? Actually I guess that'll be over in "winter sports," eh?

Forgot to post, it opened again a few days later. :o

A few days before our trip to Gibbs, reports were open . . . closed . . . open . . . closed.

Mammoth opening weekend signs were flashing "closed"

I should have stopped typing after "closed" :(
