Anyone been across Convict Creek at the old bridge crossing to access the snow couloir on Red Slate Mountain?

wingman,
I cannot comment on the Convict approach, but my guess is the creek is still pretty rambunctious. However, on my way over McGee pass last week, I ran into a couple guys who'd tackled Red Slate from the pass. It's definitely a cakewalk from that side!

Not sure but I have a 6 day hike planned for this month out of convict. I plan on hitting it towards the end of the month. If you happen that way first, I'd appreciate an update here, if not I will post some information here.
