Tahoe Rim Trail?

Post by BassPaul »

Hey All! New to this forum but looks like a great place for trail conditions, info etc...

Im planning on thru-hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail departing on Thursday August 11th from the Kingsbury Trail head and hiking clockwise.

Anyone know if any of the sections of the TRT are impassable? The Tahoe Rim Trail association has great updates on the trail but it does say that sections of the trail are extremely hard to navigate or pass due to current snow pack. I dont want to be doubt them, but Ive recently hiked a lot of the Eastern sierras around Bishop and Mammoth Lakes and those trails which were at higher elevation turned out to be fine.

Also anyone know what the mosquito situation is like? Would rather not spend every night in a head net if possible.

Thanks in advance! Any and all advice on the TRT is greatly appreciated.
