My wife booked us a room in Lee Vining Monday so the kids can play in the snow in the afternoon and daddy can take crappy pictures (it's a family "inside" joke) in the evening.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

Beautiful images Mike, thanks for posting them.

I've yet to get out this year, though I frequently look at the web cam located at Lee Vining. Weather looks to be terrific there for your stay. I've wanted to check out the little town, only time I passed thru there was before sunrise.....
