*&$#%#%$ SNOW!!

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Cool thing about Mother Nature-- she doesn't give a damn about our wants and schedules!

'Nother inch or two on the ground this morning. Mother Nature has declared: The Winter that would not end!

Yet again, wake up to an inch of wet sloppy white stuff on the ground! It might stop by the 4th of July...

Yup. My daughter and family are vacationing in Tahoe at a friends condo. They were planning on spring hikes. Instead, the kids made a snowman yesterday! Since they are from SF, the kids actually think it is wonderful since they do not get play in snow often.

Looks like we might have to get used to winters like this one if the sun goes into "hibernation" and we have another Little Ice Age:

Although it sounds like the impact on climate isn't well understood yet.

Yeah I have thought about that for awhile now. The Sierra as we know it is over if the planet cools down again.
