dmatt / here we go again

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

BRING IT ON!
We are forecast to get 9" inches of snow at 2,500 feet here in the Santa Cruz Mtns.
We are retarded flatlanders down here. You have no idea the chaos this will create!
(Theme song from Dr Zhivago plays) "Gotta git the pennicillin through or the whole towns gonna die!"
"It's up to me to save the town!" (fires up the Lexus and hits the seat warmer button)
It's gonna be okay... we have a button for this somewhere..

I can't wait to see the yuppies sliding all over the place in their European Supercars!
BRING IT>>> MAKE IT SNOW!!!! Muahahahahaha! Chaos is Cool! :D :D :D :D  :drinkers: :partyman: :littledevil: :bear:
You can make more money, but you can't make more time.

mostly over by Saturday? It just started.. chain controls are up over 50, and while they might plow Ice House Rd, I doubt it. Sounds like a 2 vehicle trip, with chains and a tow rope.

would be nice to see some pics if you make it up there, though..

I just checked the forecast for south tahoe and it's calling for -5F on saturday. Wow that's cold for tahoe! Bring on the snow, we need "your" water down here in southern cal.

Snow level here in San Diego is expected to be 1500' on saturday. At that level, we will even get snow in the foothills.

The water department is supposed to do a good job of plowing the road to Loon Lake, we'll see. Has let up here for most of the day, but snowing lightly again now. Road conditions a few hours ago still showed R2 over 50, we'll see if they change by 7AM. Chains for my 4X2. Saving for a used 4X4.
Piece of cake.

hikerduane,

how was Loon Lk? maybe a separate mini TR? I'd really love to see some pics from that area, as it's been years since i've been up there.
