Re-route on Bishop Pass (South Lake) Trail?

Post by evan »

I just received a Tom Harrison Map of The Palisades in
preperation for a trip to Lower Dusy Basin next season.
I took note that there is a re-route on the Bishop Pass
Trail which was effective 2010. I just happen to wonder if
anyone has/ had encountered that re-route this past season?
If so, do you find the trail to be easier or more difficult?
Just looking for opinions. Thanks to all in advance!

I was there in August while they were still working on it. Looked as if they are adding some switchbacks. Went through after the sun went down using a flashlight, didn't seem to be a big deal.
