Cool stuff. In keeping with the release theme, here's a shot of the largest backcountry trout I've landed. Not too clear, but this is just a preview for a better shot I'll post later in the month:

And yes, please post fish pictures if you've got any! Size, species, or photo quality doesn't matter; if it did, I would have run out of pictures to post weeks ago.

Preparing for another release, this time from March 2008 (okay, not technically backcountry, but it was above 4,000 feet so it fished like a backcountry lake at that time of year):

I've been meaning to post a pic or two but have not taken the time to pull anything up. Since I just got back from a trip to the lower Owens I thought I'd add this one. Thanks to everyone for the great pictures so far.

Merry Christmas and tight lines to you all.

Well, these may not be the highest quality, but here is 2010 in short review:

My first fish of the year:

My favorite fish of the year (not the biggest, but my favorite trip and nicest of that trip), damn that was a beautiful day:

My Latest, a December trout, terrible pic though, but a nice 15" bow. had me crying a bit because I had 2 on before that one that were much bigger. I gotta learn to play em. I say latest because I may get one more chance to catch more before the year ends. All I need is a warm day and some snowshoes.

Happy Holidays to all !!

Although this wild Brown maybe on the small side, I thinks its worth
sharing that this beautiful specimen was c&r'ed in a Southern California
mountain stream. Of course I realize I broke the code because this specimen
wasn't caught in the Sierra but, its a beautiful Brown none the less and we can all appreciate a nice Brown!

Nice.. Here's one of my friend Steve showing me how not to carry one's breakfast and lures in the pocket of his jacket at Evelyn:

Yes, it was a little cold, and it was still late Sept.
