Removing a posting

Post by BSquared »

I just got screwed up posting a reply and ended up posting it twice. No problem, I thought, I'll just remove the first reply. But the little "x" button that allows one to remove a posting was gone, apparently because I'd successfully posted the second reply (it wasn't a duplicate exactly, and I really wanted to remove the first reply rather than the second). The "Edit" button was there, so I (lamely) edited it to "Message Removed," but the X was missing

Did I screw up somehow (other than by being such a dufus as to post essentially the same thing twice)? Or is there a trick to removing an older message?

Also can someone remind me how to link to another post? It isn't just the "URL" code, is it?

I removed the post you are referring to. I presumed would be able to remove your own post regardless of whether it was replied to, but I just tried it out and that doesn't seem to be the case (perhaps Eric knows more about this)

Yep, just copy and paste the URL and flank it with url tags

Thanks much! I'm glad to know I wasn't missing something obvious.

Not sure what's going on with this. Might be a template issue. I'll have a look.
