High country snow this weekend?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

High country snow this weekend?

According to DMatt there is a chance of a dusting this coming weekend. Just goes to show that anything is possible in the Sierra.

It really depends on what area you're checking.
Mammoth area is getting thunder on Wed, Central Sierra is getting it on Thur
as is Southern.
Southern/eastern will get activity on Sun-Mon (possible snow), but the
central area and up is clear, but cold, up to Tue according to the NWS.
Of coarse, this can all change by this afternoon.
