Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Used to check out those summer camps; I lived in apts. right across from the Conservatory. Some of those kids were awesome; still remember some 15 year old wailing away on the saxophone! A little trivia; the university scene in the opening of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was filmed at the Conservatory. Had a girlfriend who was a violin performance major. She kept me cultured!!! :D

I was camped at Jalama Beach north of Santa Barbara and it snowed for a minute or two then hailed like crazy. Pretty cool.
