So, what's everyone up to this weekend.

Grab a stump, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. You can tell stories; discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever floats your boat.

It's a long weekend for me - Friday off for Veterans Day.

I'm headed to Joshua Tree to learn a little about Rock Climbing tomorrow and then hike to Spectre Point on Saturday. Sunday I'm going to stay in my pajamas all day.

What's everyone else up to?

Gonna try and head up to Tableland Sequoia tommorow. My first trip out in quite a while. Looking forward to it.

Maybe a photo outing to Yosemite if I feel up to it. The last few days haven't been real great.

Mammoth Mountain opened today so we'll be there to celebrate. Saw pics on Snowman's site and the lift lines are REALLY long and the runs looked crowded. Not much is open (just Chair 1), and a lot more people showed up than they expected. We'll be there mainly to see friends, go to the champagne celebration, and a BBQ Saturday night. I'll do enough runs to call it a day, maybe hike on Sunday. :)

After being in the Sierra all summer it will be hard to deal with the crowds on the mountain. (I have a hard time just going to the grocery store :retard: )

I'm sure it'll be fun, I'm just not ready to stop hiking yet. :(

I did a short overnight trip with a group of old friends just north of I-80. We did Carr Lake to Penner Lake. It's an incredible area when the crowds are gone! I'm back so I can do errands on Sunday :crybaby:
