I see this mountain (left) every time I drive from Mammoth to Bishop, but I still don't know its name - looking at a map, this appears to be Mt. Morrison

My only encounter with Marmots in 2006 in Little Lakes Valley. I keep hearing you can find Marmots in the Sierra everywhere but I have only seen them once...

I have had too many encounters with marmots to count! Here are two I photographed. First is at Sky Blue Lake, second is in Barrett Basin. Second guy was helping me with my laundry!

Not pretty but interesting. My guess is this is Virginia Lake over Duck Pass.
