We're baaack!

No internet access because of the storms in Mammoth, so I have some catching up.

Plan was to drive home Monday night (Jan 2nd), but because of road closures (hwy 203 and 395) I called in "sick". My boss left as the storm started Saturday, so he knew how bad it was. 90" in 48 hrs! Storm total was 120"! He said it was a slow week, so I called back and took another day off. So my original 10 day vacation turned into 12, then 14 days!!! :D :D :D

It was raining on Friday (Dec 30) so we used that day to catch up on things like laundry, painting and uploading pics.

Saturday (Dec 31) we waited to get on the lifts, but it was too windy and after two trees got blown down, they said they weren't opening. Great New Years Party!

Since the highway was closed on the 2nd (darn!) and I couldn’t be at work on the 3rd (double darn!), and it was slow at work, I called in and took another day off. Whoo hooo!!! The best day of the 14 day trip!

Hard, fast conditions. Be careful out there! Heard there was another death yesterday (2/8). :tear:

Some friends of mine went to Tahoe this past weekend and claimed that this recent dump was some of the best snow they've ever skied on in the Sierra Nevada mountains....ever! Man, I really wish I had gone with them...stupid work got in the way again.
