ANYBODY HIKED FRENCH/SWISS ALPS CHAMONIX-ZERMATT?

I am trying to gather some info on organizing a trip to do the chamonix-zermatt haute route.
I cant find any decent webcams of mt blanc area and other areas.Most of the trail info etc is scattered.I kind of would like to avoid doing the hut-hut routine.Cant get much info on camping outdoors for this trek.
I dayhiked a bunch of trails around chamonix/mt blanc area this summer and it was insanely beautiful and dramatic. Anyway if anybody has any links or personal experience with the area they can share it would be appreciated.

yeah ive already checked sp but not mch there for hiking mostly mountaineering.Also cant find anything there about hiking the HR without using the huts camping on the trail.The huts cost over 100$ per night and add about 1000$ to the trip!.The huts are great but really is a financial lead weight.Plane ticket is 1200 to geneva.
