Has anyone heard of this site it looks real interesting.

I use it on occasion. its nice to be able to flip back and forth between TOPO and Google terrain.

that's pretty cool. another good one is mapmyride.com (and I think various other versions/competitors). It's designed for bike rides, but you can use the route tool to get milages and elevations if you click along the trails in the topo or satellite view. It's also buggy and has ads-- but it's free and online.
