7/31 Duck Pass to Purple Lake - 2, Very light and only in the more forested areas
8/1 Purple Lake to Hortense Lake - 2, except for Tully Hole area which was more like a 4
8/2 Hortense Lake to Ram Lake via cross country from Virginia - 1, Hardly any
8/3 Ram lake to Duck Pass - 1+

All in all, I expected the mosquitos to be much worse, but they were hardly an annoyance.

Seems like H-Basin is a solid 3 or more, year round. No relief there...

This weeks freeze in the Tahoe area seems to have killed a great deal of the skeeters

Trailhead to Swede lake 8/02 - 2

8/13-816 in Sabrina Basin - Midnight Lake, Hungry Packer Lake: 2- during the entire trip. Non-existant during the day and very light in the mornings and at dusk, although healthy wind at Midnight lake on 8/13 helped keep them away. Did not use DEET the entire trip. \:D/
