Short hike near the Mount Tomah Lodge
Image

Really windy, crawled to the edge to look down
Image

Mt Victoria Post Office, at one time this town was named "One Tree Hill" on a map dating back to 1834
Image

Quick stop at Govett's Leap (really cold)
Image

Last stop before turning back, Echo Point, Three Sisters to the left, Mount Solitary on the horizon (tomorrow's hike)
Image

Then back to the lodge where our hosts Bill and Gail served a 3 course meal and everything was perfect!

maybe they were doing something else? :D

I forgot to post this
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090719/ap_ ... backpacker" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

this kid got lost the day before we hiked it and got lost . . . for 12 days! Totally unprepared. We couldn't figure out HOW he could have gotten lost. We didn't go up to Ruined Castle, we decided to go for Mount Solitary and catch Ruined Castle on the way back, but ran out of time (3 course meal was on the agenda for that night). I hope he donated the money he got from the interview.
