Just a quick note to all my good friends on HST…
The wife came home from her 2 week business trip today, tired and cranky. Bless her heart, she said, “You can go early...I know you are straining at the bit…even tomorrow would be OK.” The lawn is mowed, the Jeep is all loaded up, and the backpack is at the ready. I wonder what I am forgetting.
BTW, 34 pounds, all up, (minus water) including 10 days of food and fishing gear…Yosemite beckons. Leaving tomorrow, 5:00 AM – should be in the Valley by noon. Two major trips planned and maybe even a brief stopover at Saddlebag on the way home.
See you all, back here, on-line, around the 27th or so….maybe even a bit later. Have a great summer and hike safe! I am off to the mountains.
