OK, thanks. I'm going to be in TM (on a trip unrelated to JMT) 7 days before I will be there for resupply. I guess I could leave it, and in the worst case scenario that some or all of it is taken I could buy resupply at the store.

A heads up - a few years ago the ranger was removing what she thought was cached food from the bear boxes in the Tyndal Creek area. She had received complaints that the cached food prevented on-site folks from using the boxes. Not sure what the right solution is - but it would be a real bummer to be dependent upon a suddenly non-existent food cache around Forrester.
